Nutella No Bake Bars



It is no secret that I like Nutella.  I made my own, turned it into cupcakes, made ice cream...I love the stuff!  I have been thinking about making no bake cookies with Nutella for awhile.  But then I ran out of the homemade stuff.  Now that school is starting though, I need to have cookies in the freezer for my son to take in his lunch.  Well, I don't have to, but I like to put a little treat in his lunch for him.  No bake cookies are one of his favorite, the freeze well, and come together in about 10 minutes.  So they are a win all around in my book.

I just took my recipe for No Bake Cookies, and substituted some Nutella. I was lazy, and in a hurry, so I just poured the batter into a pan to make bars.  You could make them like normal cookies as well.  The bars were just so easy!  I took them on a picnic we had with friends the other day and they were a huge hit.  From age 2 up to the adults they were loved!

Nutella No Bake Cookies
Printable Recipe

2 cups Sugar
4 Tbls Cocoa
1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Nutella
1 Tbls Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Oatmeal

In a heavy saucepan, bring the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk to a boil.  Boil for 1 minute. Then add in Nutella, vanilla, and oatmeal.  Pour mixture into an 8x8 pan, or drop by the spoonful onto a lined cookie sheet.  Put in fridge to harden.

I think they are best eaten cold, so I always keep mine in the fridge.  Enjoy!

    These look awesome! I can't have nutella due to nut allergy, but fortunately your pictures look so tasty I can imagine how good are! Love no bake desserts (especially in this heat) :)

    Great twist on those yummy no-bake bars...Nutella makes all things better! And no-bake is just what I need with temps in the 100s for the next 10 days, minimum!

    Oh I love Nutella! And these bars sound perfect - I don't think I'd be able to save any for freezing because they'd disappear too quickly =)

    These look so fudgey-you now have 3 delicious recipes out there using nutella and I would have a difficult time choosing which is the best to make! Yum!

    Sold!Dudette starts kindergarten next week (sob) so I need to line up treats for her lunch as well. This is an absolute winner. I even do like Nutella once in a while.

    These are pretty much the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time. I made nutella no bake cookies once. They didn't look so hot but they tasted great. Yours turned out beautifully!

    It is funny how things go around in the blog world, I just read about Bo's love for nutella that he went to Walmart at 11:30pm and stood in line for 30 minutes to buy some for his pot de crème! This looks like a great treat for kids!

    This sounds easy to make and looks absolutely decadent. Wish I hadn't seen this recipe, especially since its getting close to bedtime but luckily I don't have all the ingrediets!
