No Bake Cookies

Who doesn't love chocolate and peanut butter together? My5 year old loves it! These cookies are a staple in our house. I make a batch, and then put them in the freezer. I take one out in the morning to put in my son's lunch, and he loves it. If I forget, he lets me know right away when he gets off the bus in the afternoon. I like them best cold, so I would keep them in the fridge no matter what.

No Bake Cookies:
2 cups Sugar
4 Tbls Cocoa
1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Milk
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 Tbls Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Oatmeal

In a heavy saucepan, bring the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk to a boil.

Boil for 1 minute. Then add in peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal.

Drop the mixture by the spoonful onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper or a silicone liner. Silicone Cookie Sheet Liners - Set of 3

Put in the fridge to harden. Enjoy!!

You could easily add peanuts if you wanted. I have also seen someone stir in mini marshmellows.

I can almost hear it now....."Mom, it smells like you made no bake cookies - yeah!"

  1. I love all the yummy recipes on your site - my husband and I would especially love this no bake one! I'm keeping it on hand for the summer when it's too hot to bake!
